Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry: No Second Season

Anime Adaptation of Light Novel Ends

No Renewal Announced

The anime adaptation of the popular light novel series "Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry" has not been renewed for a second season. The news was announced on the official website of the anime on Monday.

"We regret to announce that 'Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry' will not be receiving a second season," the statement read. "We would like to thank all of the fans who have supported the series, and we hope that you will continue to enjoy the light novels and manga."

The anime adaptation of "Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry" aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2015. The series was produced by Silver Link and was directed by Shin Oonuma. The light novel series, written by Riku Misora, has been published by SB Creative's GA Bunko imprint since July 2013 and has over 4 million copies in circulation.

The anime adaptation of "Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry" was met with mixed reviews. Some praised the series for its action sequences and character development, while others criticized it for its clichéd plot and lack of originality.

Despite the mixed reviews, the anime adaptation of "Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry" was a commercial success. The series sold over 100,000 copies on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan, and it was also licensed by Crunchyroll for streaming outside of Japan.

The news of "Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry" not getting a second season is disappointing, but it is not surprising. The series did not sell as well as other popular light novel adaptations, and its ratings were not as high as other shows in its time slot.

However, the light novel series is still ongoing, and it is possible that the anime adaptation could be revived in the future. If the light novel series continues to be popular, there is always a chance that a second season of the anime could be produced.
